I cannot heal the world but I can allow myself to be healed.

And R.L , this wasn't a shot at you, it's just frustrating to see people operating out of their wounds.

What's disappointing is that we never seem to want to give people a path back. Forgiveness and reconciliation seem like lost concepts among exvangelicals at times.

I don't think Christian Nationalism is defeated by talking about it. It's defeated by loving your neighbor intentionally and creatively. It is defeated by leaning into joy daily.

This resonates for me with the church at large. You'd think with what we know about the Church of Acts regarding property we wouldn't have this problem but here we are.

Circling back around to this. How is that going?

Take joy in the little things like peppers coming in!

I think it's because we aren't taught to search and examine and we are exposed to entirely too much convenience and comfort.

Our adulthood is all about having certainty. Our childhood is about possibility and growth. We must then become as children.

Things I've been dwelling on this week: Liberation and gentleness.

The liberation of the world back to God starts within each of us.

We have to stop suggesting that white men shouldn't be leading faith organizations. I appreciate alot of people within the deconstruction space but some of you need to know that your trauma does not give you the right to erect racial barriers.

Technological advancement..for all its benefits has taken over the role that wonder and miracles used to share.

Wonder is the means by which faith is cultivated.

Even as we seek to restore the church to the correct path you should know that being alive in Christ does not make life easier. Even if the church was all that it should be, life would still be difficult.

The failure of the American Evangelical Church was that it created more sheep than priests.

Deconstruction should not merely be a process of unlearning false teachings and doctrines, but the process of reacquainting with yourself and loving what you see. If you don't deconstruct the lies you've told about yourself, deconstruction is pointless.

Post Evangelical communities must embrace a concept of stewardship towards the land. It's part of how we defeat that idea that there isn't enough. Stewardship of the land is a ministry from which other ministries can spring.
