We'd have probably lost to Italy next week so at least I'm spared that.
Too soon Gerard, too soon. 🏴
It’s the hope that kills you. Why do I put myself through this? I knew this would happen 20 minutes into the second half.
And, if you would like to know more about X Money, @andrewleyshon.bsky.social and I might just have the reading you're looking for

Which end were you though? Man City I assume. Always thought working the bar at a football stadium is a job that's both high pressure and with a middling chance that something might go wrong, very quickly. But again, that might be my age and the fact that I used to follow Cardiff away for a while.
I don't disagree, but until their takeover City were often a prime 'banter club'. Briefly in the third tier less than 30 years ago, and their supporters were used to them messing up e.g their 1995 PL relegation after miscalculating result needed in their final game. This cuts some slack I think.
May be a first: Influencer FinTech. Come for the financial literacy, stay for the cryptocurrency advocacy at the back end. As comments here outline, the risks for those sold narratives of get-rich-quick alongside sound practical financial advice are considerable. www.nytimes.com/2026/03/03/b...

Excellent read from one of the most thoughtful of Labour MPs. Polanski’s “soak the rich” narrative works because it plays to the sense that the system is rigged in corporate interests. Amazing that a Labour government finds itself here open.substack.com/pub/liambyrn...
We're recruiting 2 PhD candidates in human geography here in Uppsala, one position focused on urban/housing issues and one in political ecology.
Please spread the word/repost etc. Being a PhD student in Sweden is a good gig.
Hard to overstate how certain we can be that this is, in fact, going to end badly.

Yes, probably. If you think I typed that out then you have clearly never heard of copy and paste.

Fiji playing a 'home' match against Wales at Cardiff City Stadium is going to allow us to make a painful direct comparison with what the ground is like when Wales play football there.
The sheer contrast in vibes might be enough to kill the "rugby is Wales' national sport" myth once and for all.

This is impressive. I’ve shared it among contacts and everyone was equally impressed. One contact was so enthused he’s going to pass it directly to HMG given the policy potential.
As a veteran of (too) many NHS consultations & tests over the past decade or so, my pro tip would be if you are asked 'What time?', secure the day's first appointment & turn up at least 30 minutes early. Staff, anticipating subsequent delays, will likely ensure you're out before the appt time

if you're not following this stuff private credit sounds like its private investors' risk but in all sorts of ways through pensions mortgages and life insurance this is not private risk but public risk. what's happening is even less transparent than the run up to 2008 imvho
The piece suggests a nightmarish dilemma. What's worse, the continuation of the AI investment bubble, but at the expense of significantly increased climate risk? Or its collapse, which might reduce climate risk, but which triggers a systemic global financial crisis given scale of investments?
Measles are back. Gold is at the center of the global monetary system. 1940s are so hot RN.

I wrote this song on Saturday, recorded it yesterday and released it to you today in response to the state terror being visited on the city of Minneapolis. It’s dedicated to the people of Minneapolis, our innocent immigrant neighbors and in memory of Alex Pretti and Renee Good.

What she actually says is, "Oh it's nothing, just about nothing,". Call me old fashioned, but I'd have followed that up to ask why? Is the nature of her contract? Does it mainly go the Jim Steinman estate? etc. Penny streams notwithstanding, 1B is still a lot.
