😭 That's really tragic. It kills a lot of the magic of the sprookjesbos. There will be a lot less discoveries, no surprises by "stumbling" over another fairy tale.
#toverland Maximus Blitz Bahn 2.0
Looking at the wheel assembly I get a bit nostalgic, that looks a lot like classic #schwarzkopf coaster trains... Swinging Bobsled by #ETF Rides. First of it's kind.
The first of these april fools gags that isn't funny. Looking at the recent overcomercialising in the park and the fake luxury of Grand Hotel and the Hotelshop filled with rather stupid merch catering to the kinds of disney adults it feels hard to laugh about this video. 🤮

What you don't see on pictures... #efteling #sprookjesbos @ home #Luville
That's what I said after Taron and Klugheim. There is a real good backstory for both the ride and the area itself, but nothing from this story really comes to life.
The 80s were the golden years. Up to the early 90s. The park has changed so much since then. It is an impressive, highly immersive park, but it lacks any of this 80s magic and flair. All the animatronics are gone.
Yes, but I found it in the digital archive of WDR television 😅
More filmed fotos, but a piece of history
I have a video of building the cave and the castle in my archive. Phantasialand used to be my home park, first visit in 1981
Shortlived Darkride, as it was damaged during a severe thunderstorm and re-themed to a viking town only a few years after the opening. The castle you passed through before reaching the cave was also damaged and removed completely.
Ich bin alt geworden...
Then they would be offered in a themed metalbox and worth a price above reason just alone for that! It's like the cookies or candys in a box. You pay for the box, can re-use it, keep it as decoration.
If the coffee came in a nice hotel themed box, the price would still be high, but reasonable
My grandparents had such a flamenco barbie covered roll in the back of their car 🙈 that's how old I am... 😅
There are things, I can understand people buying. But paying 25€ for coffeebeans just because they are labeled Efteling is stupid blind overconsumption.
The point is: who the hell needs a case for a single roll of toilet paper? Where do I put the other 7 rolls?
I do buy merch. Often more than I planned, but I choose the things that resonate with my feelings during the visit. I like merch that can be used in allday life, but I also buy things that mostly collect dust 😅 just because looking at them takes me back to Efteling and the fun I had there.
I won't buy it, but I will still judge people who do.
As long as they keep it to the "Grand" Hotel... but if it spreads through the whole park it cheapens the experience. Efteling has so much really good and fitting merch. But this fake luxury route they are taking with the new Hotel... pure unnecessary disneyfication.
Efteling adults... I would like to think we don't need this. Because there is already a much healthier adult fanbase for Efteling. Based on nostalgia and a deep love for the quirkyness and wonders of Efteling.
I have seen it. 🤪 It ridiculous, but at least the "Papier hier" labeling shows a connection to the park and a kind of humour.
Efteling goes Disney Adult. 🤦 lable it Efteling and give it an incredibly high price... the stupids will buy it.
to St.Veit and if you danced three times around the altar in red shoes, these were to fall off of your feet and you would be able to stop dancing.
I think you could argue, that #De_rode_Schoentjes are dancing on a kind of altar... 👠
had brought upon the residents of the city for criticising the catholic church and the local clerics, taking interest in the ideas of a certain Martin Luther.
It is said there was only one thing, that could save you from dancing till your death: 60km from Straßburg was a small chapel, dedicated...
able to stop dancing, religion, red shoes...
That takes me back to the year 1518, when a strange desease appeared on the streets of Straßburg: people were dancing in the streets and couldn't stop for days. Some even died from exhaustion. This became known als "Veitstanz", a punishment the holy Veit
#De_rode_Schoentjes in the fairytale forrest of #Efteling is a simple yet fascinating tale. Like all tales from H. C. Andersen it has a rather dark background and contains some cruelty und religious shaming. A soldier has to cut off the shoes from Karen's feet, so she can stop dancing. Not beeing...
