Actually insane how bad Lee Cronin’s The Mummy is. Like reaching into a grab bag of terrible horror clichés (torture porn, exorcism fetishization, needless incest references for shock, terrible TERRIBLE acting, every split diopter shot on the lot, about 80 random children) and mixing with meanness

The Plague, Bone Temple and Ann Lee are some of the best movies I’ve seen in years. Honestly an amazing time to be a bleakcore enjoyer
As a pitch, I think this movie would be incredibly appetizing. Topical, jumps on the elevated horror bandwagon, and genuinely offers a good metaphor/critique for the pursuit for greatness/acclaim at all costs.
The execution though was just abysmal. Style over substance and even the style is bad
