And being familiar with the precinct as I am, she is inevitably walking a fair distance to a vehicle. In one shoe. That would drive me insane aside from the one hazardous foot situation.

I go to a lot of country gigs so I’m familiar with the sight of women in bare feet as their blokes carry their cowboy boots at the end of the night, but I’m walking through Olympic Park after Chris Stapleton looking at a girl in one boot and one bare foot and THAT is something.

There’s nothing like the adrenaline of a journalist group chat when a Weather Event is happening. The vertical videos are flying, someone’s filing pars, somebody else is calling the SES to get to the bottom of it. What a RUSH.

On a light grey background in blue text it says "It is with enormous pride that I am today announcing the permanent closure of End Rape on Campus Australia.

From February 2025, students will finally have an independent, trauma-informed complaints body to go to in the new National Student Ombudsman. And soon, higher education providers across the country will be required to comply with the National Higher Education Code to Prevent and Respond to Gender-based Violence.

Almost 9 years to the day since our founding, we have done the thing that all organisations like ours should be aiming to do - we've advocated ourselves out of business."

So far this country’s various authorities have regrettably taken a lot of Ls in various fights against the reckless conduct of tech companies who, uh, don’t care, so if we can’t force them to take accountability, how else do you protect kids without parents taking an interest in their online safety?
