"Hey there, Lackadaisy fandom, it’s Avery. I'm going to try not to make a big, pretentious post, but no promises. Anyway, I really just want to say thank you. We've had our differences and our ups and downs, but looking back on the past few years, I feel very like I'm in a really good place. It’s been great to see people discover something I've loved for half my life, and to make friends over it. But even more so, it’s been great coming back to creative writing after almost giving up on it after high school. Ever since I was a kid, I've wanted to write professionally, and while we aren’t there just yet, it’s been three years of validation for me. From writing two fanfics that are basically novels, to having my name uttered in the same sentence as big artists in this space, to getting to write commissions… It’s all made the dream of a thirteen-year-old Avery feel very attainable.
