Every time this tailor posts a photo of their workspace, it looks like their dog is a tailor and he's showing off the garments he made.

Federal Grand Jury Charges Southern Poverty Law Center for Wire Fraud, False Statements, and Conspiracy to Commit Money Laundering A Grand Jury in Montgomery, Alabama, today returned an indictment charging the Southern Poverty Law Center (SPLC) with 11 counts of wire fraud, false statements to a federally insured bank, and conspi...

1. The central claim in the indictment of SPLC is a lie.

The DOJ/FBI accuse SPLC of lying to donors about seeking to “dismantle” extremist groups while secretly funding them. But the funds were used to infiltrate & help law enforcement dismantle these groups. Kash Patel knows this is the truth…

I'm pretty sure they've all convinced themselves of their own propaganda. That somehow the dems are all full of gerrymandered districts with dead non citizens voting.

Rather than the milquetoast do what's fair and best for the people party that we all know they are and are once more growing a spine

There are two main differences to me in a lot of what blue states are currently doing:

1) they are putting it to the voters. that alone means something.

2) most of them have FIRM time limits. it's basically, "fine we're gonna do an end-run around your cheating for as long as you keep cheating."

The implicit media consensus is that urban voters should not be able to overrule rural voters, but that rural voters should be able to overrule urban voters, an assumption so axiomatic and unquestionable that nobody even understands they're making it.

most gerrymanders are republican legislators saying fuck the voters

these ones are the voters saying fuck republican legislators

Democrats did not want to do any mid-decade redistricting. It was Trump who started it in June 2025 with a phone call to Greg Abbott after more special election losses. Dems warned they’d respond. But Texas did it anyway - without the consent of the voters. Then Dems responded.

if there is a path to either national nonpartisan redistricting or proportional representation, it is going to go through one party or another. but the first step toward it actually happening is for that party to win power, and you go to war with the system you have, not the one you want.

This man is truly evil.

How much worse could we treat people who risked their lives for the United States?

Did you break a chair over the counter when they said riccola was out of stock?

Honestly, asking people random shit makes the day go by in the service industry. Or bad fake accents. I was always a fan of being British at random.

But have your integrity or some such.

I fiercely believe in a level field for everyone. But until they're willing to say the same then fine. Fuck em and we're doing what's right whether they want to be sane or not.

Then what is? They're the minority. Making it clear to the public the bad stuff that's happening is a large part of their job, especially when the majority has 0 interest in bipartisanship.

Or is it the Iran thing other presidents caused? Like 45 tearing up the previous agreement.

Really loved his obvious eye roll at one point. And really he claimed they're in this position because previous presidents ran up the debt but not this president? Do they consider 47 a different president from 45?

I'd just really prefer people to stop answering damn questions online that they know nothing about with "chatgpt says". I don't fucking care. If I did I'd have asked the prediction machine myself!

That's just tragic. I use llms for some things that can be automated but I'm not giving up learning and researching. That's part of what makes life fun.

We all only noticed when grocery delivery wasn't possible and had to cobble together a new society. It was utopia.

I wrote a short story like that about 3 months before news of covid started bubbling out of Asia. The next few years absolutely made it feel far too real.

Spa robes just boggles my mind. I can't even get a gown that covers my backside but they get soa robes and fine China. The rich and powerful are not like us. They couldn't even survive being like us.

Someone please tell clumsy me that buying an extra tall ladder and welding myself between a railing and the ceiling so I can put a light blocking film on high up windows isn't a horrible idea. Ever since we lost a tree outside the sunlight is blinding 2 hours a day. I can't take it anymore!

(A line from my forthcoming book): the most important thing to understand about tech futurism is when Musk, Altman and their peers are wrong about the future of technology, they don’t have to give the money back.

Gosh I miss lockdown (not that we were ever actually locked down). Most people wore masks, stayed home when sick, were willing to chat online or meet up outside away from crowds. I had a downright bustling social life for a couple years there!

Having answered those calls I promise you at least half will try but they'll upload it by trying to remove their brain diy and hoping to just put it into the cd drive they somehow inexplicably still have and use daily.

Hey Kevin, how many weeks has it been since we attacked while supposedly negotiating a deal? It must be less than 6 weeks ago right? So we're getting pretty close to that limit of 4-6 weeks. Right? Can Donald still count? How many weeks is 51 days?
