Nats officially announce signing right-hander Drew Smith to a minor league deal with an invitation to big league camp. He had a 3.06 ERA and 11.7 K/9 in 19 appearances with Mets before Tommy John surgery in 2024.

Trevor Williams was placed on the 60-day injured list to make room on the 40-man roster for Granillo. Williams had elbow surgery last year.
