Yep. Tori's debut, with 'Me & a Gun': the timing was uncanny for me as an 18 year old dealing with (I know in retrospect) more than one abusive relationship. That Tori is still working and very much part of my life, while those a***holes are just bad memories, I'm grateful for that.

Mantel was such an amazing writer. I know she was more famous for her historical fiction (eg 'Wolf Hall') but this memoir is an absolute banger *and* her novel 'Beyond Black', is, I think, one of the best, most frightening literary horror novels of the century...so far. 💜
