This was the family that Norm Nation kept from being evicted (and you delivered). ICE had released their loved one.

Senate Dems say a 27-year-old died in ICE custody on Sun. Just one day prior, a 47-year-old Mexican national also died. Mexico’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs has blasted “serious deficiencies in ICE detention centers,” calling them “incompatible w/human rights standards and the protection of life.”
NEWS: A 27-year-old in ICE custody died on Sunday, the 17th death in immigration detention facilities in 2026.
From deaths in ICE custody to children suffering in detention and programs for services for unaccompanied minors being cut, this isn’t isolated. It’s a pattern.

Cuban man dies by suicide in ICE detention in Miami — the second in Florida in a month
Aled Damien Carbonell-Betancourt was found in his cell “in what appeared to be a suicide attempt” on April 12, ICE said in a press release. The official cause of death is under investigation.

RESULT: Analilia Mejia is heading to Congress.
The AP has promptly called the NJ11 election for Mejia, the left-wing advocate who won a tight primary earlier this year and just easily won the general election. Mejia will replace Mikie Sherrill, who of course is now governor.
