Listening to the House Intelligence Committee testimony (and John Radcliffe's performative outrage 🙄) and I feel it hasn't been observed why all of Trumps cabinet members needed a way of communicating where the Commander In Chief couldn't pull the records later. #SignalGate

Invincible was awesome as a comic and I almost feel like its better as a cartoon...

I do wonder though if it ever would have happened without the Death of Superman in the 90's.

Justin Trudeau has had his hot mess moments as a politician but today he knew what to say and how to say it.

And one of those things he said is that our president is behaving like a fucking dumb ass.

I've always understood why people join communes, but never have I ever thought of joining one.

Stock markets sink as Trump confirms tariffs on Canada, Mexico and China The US president has repeatedly threatened to tax imports from two of the country's closest neighbours.

All of this is totally fine...

Yup... nothing to see here...

It took seeing adult bullies to understand that my childhood bullies didn’t even really want to hurt me, they just wanted to feel powerful and how I felt about it wasn’t even in the equation.

I can’t imagine someone not outgrowing that, but apparently it happens quite a lot!

I was today years old when I found out that police departments across the nation have been taking on cybertrucks for use in their fleets...

Like, not surprised but the unironic "helping with recruitment" angle gives one pause...

You mean the police want to recruit *more* nazis?

I'm Unsurprised.

The old rules of PR and 'controlling the story' don't apply anymore. There needs to be consistent and clear and accessible education and a path forward. Not more book tours from members of congress trying to convince people that neoliberalism hasn't actually been a problem.

Pull resources and show how you are being 'for the people' in a clear and dedicated way and be clear about what the issues are, in your party, at the local level, the national level and from the opposition.

Provide a historical record that you can be later graded on.

Second, pull all your people together publicly, from governors to senators, and make it clear that compliance is leading to a day by day decline, and get a pledge, and dedicated plans per representative, what they are going to do. Publish that shit and market the hell out of it.

It's interesting seeing the Democrat leadership struggling with messaging and worried they have been 'too far left'.

First, shame the shit out of your own personal billionaires and big dollar contributors in the public square. Draw the line connecting unfettered wealth and fascism.

It's interesting reading Ray Bradbury again... particularly the short story The Fox and the Forest... thinking of Ellison, Silverberg, Butler, Guin. Delany.

All of the post WWII/anti-facism inspired science fiction.

Somewhere we lost our caution regarding the state and the grip of strong men...
