I’ve just returned from a fantastic 2 days in Leeds for FOSS4G:UK 2025. FOSS4G is an amazing group, and I am so proud to be part of the Local Organising Committee. We were in the great venue Horizon Leeds, with two days of workshops and talks.

My first time at the @uk.osgeo.org conference. It inspired me to highlight my research applying #Sentinel1 to #peatland with #qgis was published in the @mdpiopenaccess.bsky.social Remote Sensing journal lnkd.in/eaPpipQu
With zero funding resources, it was possible because of #foss4g resources.

We just attended #FOSS4GUK in Leeds. It was a fantastic couple of days meeting other GIS & software enthusiasts to learn about WWII coordinate systems, making maps accessible & much more, all using free & open tools anyone can use! We also presented the code and history behind our new map catalogue.

#FOSS4GUK 2025 is a wrap. It was an amazing experience & outstanding success. Our speakers did so well to represent the spirit of OSGeo& #FOSS4G. Our greatest achievement was to welcome so many first time delegates and presenters to carry the torch and define us as a community diverse and united ♥️🫂
