Aonishiki becomes first Ukrainian to win sumo tournament The 21-year-old won the Kyushu tournament after a tie-breaking victory over grand champion Hoshoryu from Mongolia.

What an incredible end to this tournament! Looking forward to seeing shin-ozeki Aonishiki fight next year in person.

The Switch 2 is easily the biggest disappointment I've had with a console's next iteration.

Very sad to read this. Viktor was a major force on Half-Life 2 and it would look nothing like it ultimately did without him.

I've been enjoying using this Japanese reading app compared to a bunch that try to do too much. Have any other recommendations?

Just say "dai-jo-boo" with a thumbs up. It's a question, a statement, it's all you need.

I've been learning Japanese this year. This is a level-up indicator on a site called WaniKani.

Really happy with this insight into Portal 2's history. There's a really great cross-section of the team represented here.

I also feel incredibly lucky to be among the other great titles covered by this mag. #apwot #portal

For the record "classic effects" is the only canonically correct way to play.

Being in Australia I wasn't able to film for this one, but it's great to see so much behind-the-scenes content and so many old friends.

I could never call Twitter by its new name out of sadness, but can we just call this place Twitter and then let X rot in the corner?

That's awesome! I remember working on the puzzle editor with everyone and hoping to hear exactly that as an outcome. When I first played an NES game as a kid, I wanted to make experiences like that for other people.

@ossyflawol.bsky.social very cool that you're helping to untangle and preserve this stuff. I have a keen interest in getting things as correct as possible, though it gets murkier as time passes, hehe

We knew that the portal gun was going to be the right choice after Still Alive but I needed to manage team morale and demonstrate it was sound. So we would do play tests with half old mechanic and half new portal mechanics and that gave us clear buy-in.

To be fair to Geoff I think he did a great job considering how quickly he had to parachute in and make these, so there would be no way to get it all perfect.

It's good to take these things with a pinch of salt. Though Gabe did indeed say this line, the team worked over weeks to slowly build up two parallel versions of the game to test with people within the company to demonstrate to them and the team itself that we should move directions.

Incorrect. The team made this decision over a period of time, it was not handed down by anyone.
