I wouldn't have gone to college without the support of Pell grants. I wouldn't have ended up in grad school or with a PhD or anything I'm currently doing in my life.

Pell grants are so so so important for students who qualify for them.

My Canadian university, Queen's, is offering TWENTY 4-year funded PhDs (40k CAD/yr) for a student of ANY citizenship who has been accepted at a top 100 US university but have had offer rescinded OR are reconsidering offer due to US policy.

Trump administration ends emergency abortion requirement for hospitals The Trump administration rescinded a Biden-era policy requiring hospitals to perform emergency abortions regardless of state abortion laws.

When a pregnant woman is having a medical emergency, doctors are required by law to provide life-saving care. That includes abortions.

Donald Trump and RFK Jr. think they should be the ones to make decisions in emergency rooms — not your doctor.

This will hurt women everywhere.

Women, minorities fired in purge of NIH science review boards Scientists, with expertise in fields that include mental health, cancer and infectious disease, typically serve five-year terms and were not given a reason for their dismissal.

Thirty-eight of 43 experts cut last month from the boards that review the science and research that happens in laboratories at the National Institutes of Health are female, Black or Hispanic, according to an analysis by the chairs of a dozen of the boards.
