Wild geraniums from my yard. These were one of the first natives I planted, longer ago than I care to remember. #nativeplants #wildflowers

Thanks for the info! I noticed similar damage on redbuds around here, but didn't know the cause.

No! It's super fun!
Well, a little good news! I thought the city killed 3 of my pawpaws, but they only killed two! For now! They're not done destroying things yet! Woo hoo!

A single phlox blooming in a small area cleared of invasive bush honeysuckle. It's just one but it made me happy because I've had a tough time getting anything established. Also found a wild geranium that survived. #nativeplants
Everyone can relax. The red- shouldered hawk nest made it through the tornado intact. I'm pretty sure I saw mom sitting in it, but it's in a residential neighborhood and I don't want to draw too much attention to it in case any of the people nearby are insane.

Unfortunately, my attempts to photograph pussytoes and fringed puccoon turned into action shots because it was very windy. Something no one could anticipate in Kansas in the spring.

Two small, white , star-shaped flowers against a background of green weeds.
Crowpoison (aka false garlic). Just a little guy, but exciting for me because it's a native returning on it's own to an area cleared of dense invasive bush honeysuckle. Unknown if it's actually poisonous to crows. #nativeplants #wildflowers
