One thing that has taken off isJoe Pye weed. This seems to do well in all the shady areas I've tried it in.

A single phlox blooming in a small area cleared of invasive bush honeysuckle. It's just one but it made me happy because I've had a tough time getting anything established. Also found a wild geranium that survived. #nativeplants

Everyone can relax. The red- shouldered hawk nest made it through the tornado intact. I'm pretty sure I saw mom sitting in it, but it's in a residential neighborhood and I don't want to draw too much attention to it in case any of the people nearby are insane.
