Not sure what was happening that let you take direct control. Was it a perk? A change to the game that changed back?

OK, I knew something was up in my past CK3 games. If you play the tutorial as Munster, part of it is to declare war on Desmond and take it over. In my previous games, you'd seize the county for yourself, but in the past and currently, the count of Desmond keeps it but becomes your vassal.
"Because of an editing error, an earlier version of this article misstated which day the New York Mets suffered their 11th straight loss. It was on Sunday, not Monday. Even the Mets cannot lose on an off day."
Two copy editors high-fiving so hard right now

Alright, time to go to work.
Anyway, I think this means I should play some CK3.
I was walking the dog and wondering just how much a typical medieval peasant from the English midlands would know of the wider world. Would they know of the Byzantine Empire? China? India?
I like Tokimeki for Bsky, but I really wish it'd stop sending me notifications when I'm replying to my own post.
Oh, I guess it could be a TV networking issue, so maybe restarting the modem/router might help.
Well crap. Got like an hour and a half before work, was gonna kill it with some NCIS but lol audio issues, so I'm kinda dead on what to do before work?
Yeah, my guess is they don't make any that size as a standard so it'd be really expensive, or else a window that size is just super expensive on it's own, so just buy a cheap normal sized window and frame it with some boards.
Was thinking of getting a new TV anyway, this one is kinda small and I want to rearrange the room, so it'll need to get bigger. Also it's slow as heck and the backlight in the upper RH corner has been failing for three years now.
So either something's up with the TV, the optical cable, or the optical port on my headset charging station.
THought it was P+, but I just launched Hulu and same thing. I went and switched the headset to the PC and started some audio there and went back to the couch to test if it was range/interference but no issues.
But over the weekend and today, was watching stuff on Paramount+ and real bad in and out audio, no matter how long I pause. Turned the speakers on while wearing the headset and could tell it was just the headset.
That had choppy audio, but I just paused it for a few minutes and started playing and it was fine, wrote it off as a buffering issue.
It seems kinda intermittent too. Like I watched Beverly Hills Cop on Amazon last night without issue till about the last 30 minutes when it suddenly paused for a bit before going again after 10 seconds.
