Dear friends,

We want to begin by once again thanking you from the bottom of our hearts. Your support is what continues to make the work of the Khartoum Aid Kitchen initiative possible.

Thanks to your generosity, we've managed to carry out important rehabilitation work on the Omdurman Teaching Hospital. This has more than doubled its patient capacity during a time when over 80% of Khartoum’s healthcare facilities have ceased operations due to the war.

We’re also proud to share that we've managed to rehabilitate the centre of the Sudanese Association for the Blind, allowing the association to return its evacuated members back to Khartoum.

In May, a devastating cholera outbreak shook the city of Khartoum, with over 8,500 suspected cases reported. Hospitals overflowed and turned away patients for lack of space. Concerningly, IV fluids, which are essential for treatment, became scarce. In response, the Khartoum Aid Kitchen stepped in to supply IV fluid drips, enabling the El Fetihab isolation centre in Omdurman to provide life saving treatment.

Additionally, our voluntary return journeys continue, with the Khartoum Aid Kitchen now running the largest return journey operation in Sudan. We've safely returned displaced families to their homes in Khartoum and Gezira state, offering them a chance to rebuild after long months of displacement.

Every act of kindness, whether by donating or sharing our initiatives work, has made these efforts possible. There’s more work to be done, and your continued support allows us to keep going.

With gratitude,
The Khartoum Aid Kitchen Team

Hi all,

You may have seen or heard about 'Black Wednesday' yesterday, April 8. While the US/Israel and Iran agreed a ceasefire, Israel launched an unprecedented assault on Lebanon, with over 100 airstrikes across the country in the span of 10 minutes. Lebanese media reports between 112 and 260 people killed in the largest attack of this aggression, and close to 1,000 injured.

REMAN continue nonetheless their work. They have been supporting over 85 informal shelters in Lebanon, hosting at least 800 displaced people. They continue providing packs of food and supplies, as well as supporting children by providing milk, nappies, and assisting with food deliveries.

Leveraging the team's expertise and skills, REMAN team members are also sewing covers, duvets, other supplies to support the displaced. In the last few days, they have sewed over 250 duvets that are being distributed in shelters.

Please continue donating, sharing, and supporting REMAN's volunteers and supporters, if you can. In March, we've been able to send US $3,000 of funds to support their efforts, which they have used to respond to crises as they continue to emerge, but funds, supplies, energy are still short in the face of the level of need for people in Lebanon.

Many thanks.

You'll have noticed that my posts for the giving circle have shifted into asking you to act. Nasser Hospital has announced that one of their generators has shut down. The bakers' association said they're at 50% capacity.

Abeer is a refugee mother who has just over 1,000 left to complete her goal.

Can you imagine? All her 2 daughters want is *to go to school*. I am so angry and heartbroken for them.

If you have it in your heart & wallet, please contribute.

Down to the last $1000 to raise! Help me close it out today and get this money over to the families—they are mindblown that this came together so fast.

Maybe this is a new kind of mutual aid…mutually beneficial projects. We get to help two families for the price of one!

Help Abood, nurse Hammam and their family in Gaza Hello !! My name is Sonia. I'm starting this fundraiser to ask for your help for my friend Hammam and his family, who currently live in Gaza 🇵🇸.

We in Gaza🇵🇸 are living through dark and dangerous times. We are deprived of food; we are homeless. Our dream has become simply to eat healthy food. We live on filthy sand, which has caused us intestinal and skin diseases❤️‍🩹
We desperately need your donation, even a small one🤲

Survival funds really are survival funds, folks. Food is scarce, prices are impossible, and the siege is strangling people.

Here's a way to automate support for six families & a camp of fifteen more—around a hundred Palestinians!—by clicking “weekly” on a coffee. It helps them eat.

No one on this app has ever been willing to address how Palestinians shouldn't have to ask for help in the first place. Whether that means *campaigning*—not just sharing—so they don't have to, or acting to end the blockade and genocide. God forbid we center Palestinian autonomy and dignity.
