Tonight is the peak of the Lyrids meteor showers and as luck would have it, clear skies are forecast here 🙌
So my fire pit will be lit, lounger will be in place and a flask of tea at hand.
May even see/hear some nocturnal wildlife and I don’t have to be out early in the morning either 😁

Lovely what can be rustled up from bits that need using up. Simple and tasty. Sweet potato and mushroom frittata ( so easy to make) and a tomato, avocado and olive salad. Yum!

That smily moment when you answer the door and someone says “thought you’d appreciate these” .. some sticks of fresh rhubarb :-)
That’ll be nice on my porridge this week 🤗♥️😋

My first returning Sedge Warblers enjoyed today- I had 6 of them! This one kept coming out into the open atop this bush, vocalising before launching himself into that typical “parachuting” display flight. I watched him through my binoculars for a while - gorgeous 🥰

2/2… and as Tim regularly gives us a shoutout on his shows, the couple guessed it was us there last night. The couple are fellow Bellowhead fans too. Our paths will cross again soon as, like us, they go to many folk gigs 🤗

Random moment last night whilst at a folk gig. A couple we’d never seen before approached us and asked “ which one of you is Mandy and which one of you is Ann?”😁.. we were a bit flummoxed until they explained they listen to Tim Walker’s Folk radio show on a Sunday…..

Beautiful starry skies tonight. Had half an hour on my lounger/patio hoping to spot a Lyrid or two 💫💫 - no luck. Would’ve fallen asleep and/or froze to death so had to come indoors to warm up a bit 😂🥶🥱

Looking forward to this evening’s sold out gig at The Ropewalk/Ropery Hall.
Saw Oysterband last year on their Long Goodbye tour (excellent gig/band) so will be good to experience this new trio I’m sure.
Knew it would be a sell out- had our tickets since October :-)

Weekend approaching.. bust a gut yesterday to get on top of the mundane stuff to free me up for the weekend. Looking forward to music, nature, sunshine, time with friends and in between, getting lost in a book. That’ll do fine♥️

I do love stocks. Gorgeous scent too. Just treated myself to some during my food shop 😁
Thought the colour was very calming. Would’ve liked some gypsophila to go with them but none available. I will still enjoy them just as they are ♥️

That was quite therapeutic after a somewhat testing day - I have just demolished some old trellis by hand to make sticks for future use on my fire pit - and no splinters - go me 😂🙌🤗
