No, i stopped smoking by vaping. Many people did. Because you can control the nicotine level, you can slowly lower it until there is none at all. At that point you can just stop vaping altogether and be done with it. I tried numerous other methods to stop. This one actually worked.

Similar to the difference between smoke and steam.

It certainly helped me, went from smoking for 20+ years to vaping and slowly lowered my nicotine till i was at 0% and then started forgetting to bring the thing with me. Been years now since I’ve touched it and will never touch nicotine again.

Yeah, we also kept our jeep because we like to go off road sometimes and haul a little camper, but other than that it barely gets driven anymore.

268 miles or so. Our car now can easily handle that without even stopping for charging. They’ve come a long way.

Still more and more are popping up so it does get easier thankfully. I’m also in the south so my battery range isn’t as affected by winter - that’s another thing depending on where you’re at that could make it even harder to do. Cold weather can reduce range significantly.

And that’s definitely understandable, you never want to be in a situation where you’re gonna be stranded. In my area it’s pretty bad still too. I’m near an interstate that has them ~100 miles or so, so if I’m going east or west on that I’m fine, North is a little trickier but doable.

I was pretty much cured of my range anxiety a week after I bought it when I had to evacuate during a hurricane. It performed great, used way less power than I expected in stopped traffic on the road, and there were enough chargers along the Interstate to keep me well above empty throughout.

Once I had it for a little while I realized I always charge at home, and the only time I ever use a public charger is if I’m going hundreds of miles away from my house.

It charges overnight, so it’s ready for me the next day. Now I can’t imagine going back to a gas car.

Only you know what is right for your situation and I would be nervous about an EV in that situation too.

I got nervous when I got one because public chargers were few and far between near me but my concerns were because I was trying to shove an EV into my gas car mindset.

That’s so exciting. We started redoing the kitchen in our house and then moved and we still haven’t finished the kitchen at the old place to sell it yet 😭. Stupid ADHD.
