Graphic reads: People living in small island developing states are increasingly facing the threat of displacement due to rising sea levels. More than a million people across SIDS are living in coastal areas that lie less than 1m above current sea level.
Graphic reads: Rising temperatures are threatening food security in Small Island Developing States. Compared with the period 1981-2010, an additional 2.6m people reported moderate or severe food insecurity as a consequence of drought and heatwave days in 2022.
Graphic reads: Small islands continue to spearhead international policy engagement on the links between health and climate change. At the UN General Assembly in 2022, 64% of all climate and health statements cam from leaders of Small Island Developing States.
