Sorry this isn’t puzzle art, but a warning about the Chrysler Pacifica, or any car with a stop/start or idling system. My van put me in terrifying situation this past weekend when the computer spazzed out at a traffic light, it wouldn’t go into park or allow the engine to turn off.

It has been forever since I drew Sailor Moon fanart. This one was from ten years ago, and I really want to revisit it.

Now that we’re in February, we’ll be seeing my new 1000 piece from White Mountain.

Sooooooo lovely! It’s funny you say this, I’ve been a digital painter for almost twenty years (I design puzzles for Ravensburger). This week I started experimenting with acrylics again.

There’s bonus points for things at different times. Tons of cooking puns. Cute art. I play so many games and this one was an instead favorite.

Every round there’s new ingredients revealed at like 8 different super cute locations. You send your minions to get the ingredients and they get them based on how fast they get to the places. Then you plate the ingredients.

I love this game so much I’ll summarize this: You have three little critter workers, one is fast and can carry one ingredients, one is medium speed and can carry two ingredients, one is a chonk and is slow but can carry three ingredients. Every round there are goal dishes you’re trying to make.

I practice a lot, observing little moments in life and breaking them down to understand color and light. It all becomes part of my mental library. This is Perlin hanging out by a window at our old house in Rochester.

For me it's this painting, "Return to the Hidden Summit". I feel like it personally resonated a little deeper

It has taken me five years to get here. My portfolio style is painterly elaborate puzzle scenes, and I enjoy being paid to do that, but I crave flat planes and emotional characters.
