The wandering piece of my heart is home tomorrow after 3 months of adventure! Just in time for a very Merry Christmas ❤️
As we gather today to say goodbye to John, I’m reflecting on how much love John had for this province and its people. Today, we aren’t just saying farewell to a leader but to a friend. His wife, Ellie, and sons, Evan and Nate, remain in our thoughts and prayers.
My heart is heavy with the loss of our friend Dan.
My thoughts are with his family, and the many who love him.
I am grateful for our time working together for this community we love. I will miss his quick smile & easy laugh, our conversations, and his passion for community.
Rest well my friend.

Just popped onto the bad place (out of habit) and in the first 60 seconds saw the bc cons have named a new "parental rights & sports" "shadow minister" (on trans day of remembrance to add insult to hate)... and saw I was misquoted by a "news" publication.
I really need to just delete that app. 🤦🏼♀️
Great to spend time with friends while wrapping up the last few things at the BC Legislatire today. Gonna miss the awesome people in this crazy place. 🫶

DIYDDIYD is right! Is it confidence? Skill? Social norms? Perhaps also that negotiation is made more difficult when trying to value sacrifice & emotional labour demanded in caring fields (which are predominantly women… at least outside of leadership) and the myth that we should just “be grateful”?
I’m new here… where are the BC K-12 #teachers? There should be a starter pack… They always make it make sense 😉
