Are you also enjoying the intermittent feedback and bass hum that litters this particular bootleg?

I spent so much of this evening fussing over three characters sitting down at a table
Finally served the poetry
Poetry for breakfast, very possibly
Watcha doin' Merv? Doin' anything creative? Well uh, I guess "obsessively collecting and cataloguing pre-split Smashing Pumpkins bootlegs" is *sorta* a means of self-expression, right?
I could probably fill a book just with bird characters I want to get rutty with
Would you believe this spooky door is for the porn novel?
Makin' a visual asset for a project. The skull is heavily mangled from a free use calavera skull because none of my drawn skulls were coming out as I'd like, but the rest is just me fluffing about on GIMP. There should be vines growing up the side columns but that's tomorrow's job
Really gotta start revving up to do wordcount challenges again in April. Wordcounts are a very superficial way of motivating writing and obviously risk getting overly florid to make quota, BUT they get stuff on the page
Sometimes I think about remaking these digitally. I mean I wouldn't mind remaking them in oils, I just don't have a space set up for painting in
I found the uncropped photos of the paintings from my teens. Or as uncropped as exists; they weren't originally in square format (why no save to PNG, Sed?), but the ones in circulation DID very sloppily remove the backgrounds on top of that. One day I'd love to have these professionally photographed
I've uploaded the first Soul Camel EP to youtube. Please do check it out. It's old now, released in 2017, but I'm still proud of it. All of these pieces were at some point considered for the ever-unfinished 'Revenge On Culture' LP, except for "The FC"

Watcha doin' Merv? Writing about made-up bands again in a project that by definition can have no end? Good on ya
Hey I heard there was some pointed loveheart clicking going on and I wanted to get in on that action
I got to 41,428 words for January in the end. Got a little wiped out at the end, so I've been focusing on other things besides wordcount and the like. I will get there
You doin' okay there Bloosk?
40289 words down! Will I break 50k before the end of the month? Who can say?
What he said. The book is making some nice progress to be clear, even though I keep thinking of whole new pieces to slot in that means it's going to be further still to completion. I feel like nobody but myself will be into it, but I at least have a guaranteed audience of One
Ooh I gotta keep track of these updates. 29589 words, now I'm gonna focus on chapter revision instead!
22831 words completed at close of business tonight. Kind of all over the place, but eh
Today's update: 18778 words and The Broken-Horned God
17501 words. I love this book so much but the realisation that I better make their ears and tails emote is a little daunting
Guess who crawled out of bed to say he had 13448 words?
12430! Okay now I really gotta go to bed
Damn I forgot to update this last night. We're officially on 10955 words, however words are still happening and have happened since that count was taken. How many words have we now? Stay tuned (this does not count towards the words)
Number of words? 8360!
Oh I nearly forgot! Up to 5607 words now. Also in one of those situations where I know about 80,000 songs but can't pick one appropriate lyric for this chapter's subtitle
4,315 words at the end of Day 3. I am excited by how this is starting out. Long term I really want all the chapters of the novel to have at least a first draft, though I am aware my tendency to go back and redraft is a bad habit that holds me up at times
Oh damn sometimes I forget when I'm already logged into this account. Anyway, wordcount at the end of Day 2: 2832! Gamifying the writing process like this has its tradeoffs, because wordcount does not correlate to the quality or clarity of the work. BUT it gives me raw material to work with
Making a serious effort to write at least 1,000 words every day in January. Ticked off 1,195 yesterday. We'll see how we do today!
