It makes me sad as well, I love writing these books. The Softball book was actually a promise I made to a team that contacted me on Facebook. The girls said they loved the Ava and Carol series, so I of course had to do it. (2 years later) 🥰😊

It's really sad, it's actually about 80% now. Many of my writer friends who made their living writing middle grade books have quit. My income from writing had dropped by 50%. I'm most likely going to have to start writing adult books, maybe even romance—and I've never been kissed! 😧Shudders. 😭

My handwritten—hand-illustrated book, fighting it out with a bunch of AI books that have taken over my genre. Sadly the kids detective books is overrun. Over 60% of the top 50 books in my category are AI. :( :(
