I said what I said. You can support the pope of racism, or the pope of Catholicism, but not both.

This is only a difficult choice if you haven't accepted which religion it is that you've been following.

It's almost like going the wrong direction but WAY FASTER isn't a good strategy.

Just to go back to basics:

I once worked on a (winning) presidential campaign.

Something too obvious for anyone to mention was: "Don't get into a fight with the Pope over who knows more about Jesus."

These people are morons.

It’s good that we all have something to cheer for that involves a positive aspirational vision of humanity.

They dropped from 10K to 5K feet in ~20 seconds?

No. Absolutely not. You can't do that to me. I don't even let Six Flags treat me like that.

Don't lie and call it a spaceship, because at that point it's just a big metal can free-falling, hoping that the main chutes open.

And that 3rd chute...😬

Watching the tech industry unleash unpredictable software into production in the name of AI adoption, then spend twice as much time and money trying to limit the blast radius, proves humans should be investing in our own intelligence before allowing the machines to mimic us.

GOP: We won't fund airport security if it means we must reform ICE practices.

Dems: Let's pay TSA and not inconvenience travelers. And then legislate ICE issues.

Decent people: I feel for unpaid TSA, But I'll wait in a longer line so others are not shot dead or kidnapped without legal cause.

GPU salesman wants you to buy more GPUs. Film at 11.

The best part is that this is like $2.5M in tokens when AI companies stop subsidizing tokens and charge what they’re worth.

Somerville PorchFest is returning in May with a big change to meet an urgent need: twice the porta-potties - The Boston Globe The city this year aims to address a common complaint about the popular DIY music event that can draw tens of thousands.

One of the downsides of living on the East side of Somerville is that by the time porchfest reaches my neighborhood, the crowd has been day drinking for several hours and there's a -lot- of ducking into our yards to take a leak.

1/2. He took the greatest military force in history, lost a war to a middle power in a week, begged the world to save him, & demanded the media lie about this & everything else. I try, but at a simple human level I do not see how anyone mistakes this man’s almost supernatural weakness for strength.

The "e-bikes are cheating" trope is just "protected bike lanes are unnecessary because I rode all over the place without them" for a new era: A mix of gatekeeping and survivorship bias that allows the person invoking it to defend their perceived status.

In a lifetime, I was given the opportunity to push Clarence Thomas into the Hudson on a Circle Line wedding cruise, toss a drunk Rudy Giuliani down the stairs at Peter Luger's, and pour a fine Chilean red over Henry Kissinger at Le Bernadin. The cost of my conscience to the republic is considerable.

Rod Serling is probably the coolest guy of the 20th century. Looked cool, sounded cool, fought Nazis, hated John Wayne, wrote the screenplay for Planet of the Apes. Honestly dunks all the hell over any male influencer guy.

Learning that the abundance of Thai restaurants around the world is a direct result of the government of Thailand doing a sort of restaurant diplomacy makes me wonder why America can’t just do that, why can’t we make the burger to end all burgers instead of Henry Kissinger 2
