And Ivory Coast!

Of course true justice would be quite a lot worse than that for him, but I agree your suggestion would be a good start and - unlike true justice - has a reasonable chance of actually happening.
Yeah it's not like we *won't* still be paying the price if he resigns and gets replaced by anyone else who's at all likely to win the leadership.
I stand by my position. Starmer should stay. If he resigns before the election he'll always be able to say that an unfair political scandal brought him down. Justice would be him being the first sitting PM to lose his seat in an election.
"Violence is never the answer"
"So you support abolishing the police and the army?"
"Of course not, I meant violence is never the answer for *you*"

Anyway, you can obviously refer to her however you want. But if you decide to deadname or misgender her most trans people are going to view you as not a safe person, whatever your justification. It's up to you whether that bothers you or not.
“Can you understand being alone so long you would go out in the middle of the night and put a bucket into the well so you could feel something down there tug at the other end of the rope?"

I guess I say this for some little piece of posterity but: There were good people there. We wanted a better thing than what you all got. We cared and we believed but at the end of the day money won the game.
The whole web is built on a primary grace: that the people visiting you are trustworthy. It costs a little something for me to serve my webpage to everyone who goes there. When the number of scrapers outnumbers the number of humans by an order of magnitude, this grace is fragile.
I haven't had a long enough breath to talk about how AI is ruining the open web. API after API I used to use is closing - literally because paying the $$$ required to feed these impersonation machines is prohibitive.
You could make a similar argument about a Latina Trump voter who gets deported: that's what they voted for, they have no right to complain.
But that doesn't mean you and I should *help ICE deport them*.
I agree she's not entitled to complain about the GOP treating her badly. But that's different from saying we should treat her badly.
My vote for that person had the same chance of making a difference to Trump's victory as a vote for Harris would have done in my state.
There was a little girl
Who had a little curl
Right in the middle of her forehead
When she was good she was very very good
But when she was bad, she was horrid
I didn't 'demand' policies, I just made a decision about which policies would lead me to support or oppose a candidate and then stuck by that.
Obviously not. I, just like Harris supporters, voted against Trump but failed to beat him.
But I'm not a 'nothing is good enough for me' voter. I voted for a candidate who I thought was imperfect, but largely agreed with.
Obviously not. I voted against Trump.
No I didn't, because I voted for someone else.
Oh, so you think leftists should vote for someone they like in the primary but not necessarily in the general. I misunderstood then.
Personally I think it makes sense to vote for candidates I approve of in all elections, and never voting for my opponents.
If "I'll vote for anyone who's anti-genocide and not for anyone who's pro-genocide is a purity test", then so is "I'll vote for anyone who stands as a democrat and not for anyone who doesn't".
People who complain about purity tests just have a problem which *which* tests others apply.
"I want the left to vote for the people they like, even if the Sen or Rep in their state/district is someone they do not like."
I agree. That's why, if I was in Brooker's district, I would vote for someone I like instead of for him.
Personally I follow the strategy of voting for parties I support rather than parties I don't support.
Zarah Sultana has just been kicked out of the commons for calling Starmer a barefaced liar.
Zarah is spot on. Keir Starmer is a barefaced liar. We all know it.
And as for Lindsay Hoyle. I'm old enough to remember what a corrupt speaker he is.

Voting for Booker wouldn't put people she likes in majority if she doesn't like Booker.
We made it clear what we expected from her and she made it clear she wasn't prepared to do that. So we didn't vote for her.
I mean yeah it makes sense for people who agreed with 90% of her policies. But I imagine most of those people voted for her. I probably would have voted for her if I agreed with 90% of her policies too.
I guess it will make more sense when I finally come out of my k-hole.
