sitting down nasa engineers with a table full of parts and junk at 2am and saying you need to figure out how to fix outlook apollo 13 style

hayward fault is still alive in case anyone was wondering
In other news, I wish I had free time to just work on this remix of a friend’s track but too many things have got me too busy to sit down and focus on it for several hours in a given day 😓
Seems the turn around time on “I have reservations about touching the amulet, but I’m going to so I can report back on how bad it truly is. My hear is pure to “I fucking love touching the amulet. I think everyone should touch the amulet!!!” is about 6 months, give or take.
RAM is 1200 dollars so we can make every woman in a video game look like they're in the half life 2 cinematic mod with the fully modeled cervix. I am told "this technology is good actually" by the dumbest people alive.
The power of the congration ant grows…
These are the 4 things AI can do well:
•Clean up your email inbox (badly)
•Give my shittiest neighbor (Alan) something to talk about at a party
•Tell a 12 yr old to kill himself
•Incinerate a school at 10:16 AM on a Tuesday
You can see why we need to base our economy around it
You asked for it! The long-awaited sequel to You Are Jeff Bezos is finally here:
YOU ARE ELON MUSK
200+ passages. 7 endings. Secrets. In-jokes. Giant robots. All with the purpose of doing one thing: SPENDING ALL OF ELON MUSK'S FUCKING MONEY

It's mentioned briefly on the steam page. It's like a quasi-sequel/parallel game set in the same universe.

Are you aware of it's "being simultaneously developed" 3D sister game by the same dev?
"... Implemented the defer draft Technical Specification (WG14 N3734); it is enabled in C mode by passing -fdefer-ts. Note, the details of this feature are subject to change given that the Technical Specification is not yet ratified. ...."
Defer TS is now out with Clang 22.1.0.
Read about the changes in Clang here: releases.llvm.org/22.1.0/tools...
Just need to wait for an official cut of the GCC to have defer out and then I can consider the job done.
Maybe it's because of my lived experience as an alcoholic, but every time I see the excuses people make for using LLMs, I just hear the same excuses I made for why it was ok to take one more fucking sip.
If you've never realized you're an addict, how would you know you are?
Once again, I see someone fall prey to the "I am very smart and could never be fooled or lied to. I personally would never be an addict. I would never fall for a grift. I would never be so foolish."
You've invented a new form of "Just write C with no linting or error checking and simply do not make mistakes". You have repeated the same mistake as every software engineer that ever came before you and you can say you aren't one, but you are *now* big dawg.
Admitting to paying Microsoft a monthly tithe, all so you don't have to "bother" asking someone for their help or expertise.
Saying "oh well you shouldn't use these unless you understand them fully" when you've already admitted you don't know how they work because you "can't write code".
I'm sure you could regale me of every time you've tried to depend on anyone to help you, how they let you down in the end, you've had to get to where you are by yourself, etc.
None of that matters because you've come up with yet another excuse to not fully trust another person ever again.
Vague posting a reply to a post and subsequent thread.
You can rationalize your use of it however you see fit (that is, lie to yourself), but for someone who constantly talked about how important community and connections are during the cohost era, all I see is hypocrisy in action.
i for one can safely touch the cursed amulet. it doesn't affect me, i have no mortal ambitions within myself to become corrupted by. in fact i find the power it confers very useful. i'm enjoying touching the amulet more & more as its influence waxes! it used to make me feel insane but now i love it
I created a big anonymous survey for sound designers / musicians & other audio creators.
The goal is to better understand our community, how people work & connect to other audio artists.
I'd really aprpeciate it if you took the time to answer it an share it around:

I’m running my air conditioner in January and you pieces of shit are still using generative AI like it’s going out of style.
Fucker, you're gonna tell me you want to hand maintain two separate IDE project files that can't even be used to upgrade if a new version goes out instead of shoving build artifacts into a zip file and calling it a fucking day? You're telling me your path is the easier path? EAT A PANT (singular)
Sunk cost fallacy as an argument. "But we spent 2 years migrating to this" OK? HOW AM I RESPONSIBLE FOR YOUR PAST DECISIONS YOU ABSOLUTE RUBE
"but we invested time into this"
DAMN SHAME THAT EVERYTHING WE DO IN LIFE IS A ROLL OF THE FUCKING DICE YOU GODDAMN IGNORANT FUCKWIT!!
Anytime some engineer tells me "but then you have to learn a new tool" to fix some utter dogshit workflow that is sucking the life out of someone I want to lobotomize myself. Damn dude that sucks that you'll have to do your job! GOD FORBID YOU EXPERIENCE NEW THINGS AND THAT THINGS CHANGE.
Also, the only downside right now is there is no way to get it to show up immediately after install. So you have to open Ableton, install the pack, close Ableton and then re-open to get it to load. Ah well. Progress ^_^
I'm also very close to figuring out the actual .alp file format (the custom metadata format is a bit odd because it's clearly derived from a very old NSArchiver internal fork).
A list of Ableton Live Packs organized by category. At the bottom reads a "Bruxisma's Custom Live Packs" category along with a single entry reading "AKAI S950 Test Tone Bass"
A Live Pack named "AKAI S950 Test Tone Bass" showing several additional entries. This is not a standard live pack, but a third party one that was made by hand.
After a lot of trial and error, I've figured out how to make 3rd party Ableton Live Packs that show up in the Packs category, along with custom lessons. The most important part is that you can safely relocate samples without having to find missing media. :D
The people stopping you from saying San Fran are the same people who want to destroy the city’s history from before it merged with Cisco. smh
