100%. We need to protect all of the new riders that this program will create!

Last night @wehocity.bsky.social approved an e-bike voucher program 5–0 🚲
Up to $2,000 for qualified residents to purchase an e-bike. Demand will be high—keep an eye out for applications.

Yeah. We knew.
Why would they get rid of the bikelink lockers!? I’ve started to use the program since your video about them last year
🙌 Honestly, this is the secret weapon. Even the cheapest EV (something like the Dacia Spring) costs $135 a year to charge. And that's assuming you drive it as efficiently as possible. It's more likely going to be closer to $150 a year.
In a cost of living crisis, this is how cargo bikes win out.
Agree. Poll after poll shows Nithya winning in a runoff
Also all the other kids were jealous of your kid’s ride!
just fyi - the westside COG is currently designing a BRT on La Cienega/Jefferson in anticipation of the olympics.

They just want a study Nick! They just want to be safe okay!!
I am so angry at this K Line North compromise
Some of the options proposed would require a direct payment to JDW via a subsurface easement. How in the world does she think her recusal is “voluntary”?
@wehocity.bsky.social
No bonds! Just backstop the federal loan
you’re going to release it on your patreon first right?
Don’t mind me just staring at @nickandert.bsky.social’s YouTube page constantly hitting refresh
Meanwhile other shenanigans in #weho

Sigh. People’s lives are precious too ya know. @wehocity.bsky.social
Yeah Nithya wins in a runoff based on these numbers. Karen is -11 underwater in favorables. She’s done.
The only thing that matters is the Knock LA endorsement
The cleanest way out of this is to have the unions come down hard on Bass before Thursday, so if you’re a member of a union that endorsed Bass, speak up!
More shenanigans by LA Metro Board, as Karen Bass threatens to kill the K Line through Mid-City, West Hollywood, and Hollywood - what would be the highest ridership light rail line in the country. All due to NIMBY misinformation so unhinged they sound like anti-vax yoga moms who watch Newsmax.
I'm really excited about her campaign. And the Bern helmet looks great. Most consultants would probably tell a candidate not to cover their head on camera, but it reads as authentic. She actually rides.
I don’t think you’re going to see Karen Bass or Spencer Pratt run a campaign ad like the one Nithya just did

Insane
For those that missed the metro board committee meeting today: Karen Bass is officially moving full steam ahead on trying to ratfuck what would be the highest ridership light rail line in the country next week, over unscientific tunneling concerns identical to fred rosen's in bel air.
Today a Metro Board Committee postponed approving an alternative for the Northern K Line light rail extension. Not a good sign for L.A. County rail expansion. The K Line alignment goes to a vote of the full board next week. la.streetsblog.org/2026/03/18/m...
Sagrada Familia
If we can figure out how to put a subway line underneath the Sagrada Familia, pretty sure we can dig safely underneath Lafayette Square!
Connect SoCal - Project List
Specifically, the NKE is listed on page 244 of the Connect SoCal 2024 Project List. Download available here under Technical Reports - scag.ca.gov/connect-socal
Yes, KNE is light rail (tier 2) but it was included in the SCAG regional transportation plan before Jan 1, 2026. So once they choose the LPA, the 1/2 mile radius around the future station boxes will see the SB 79 Tier 2 lift.
