When speaking in an interview about his new game, he said how he was trying to make a unique experience with writing and mechanics never seen before.
It's 2026, and the new groundbreaking game he's making is a BioShock clone about him getting cancelled on the internet.

After Infinite wrapped in 2013, the entirety of the Irrational Games was fired, but somehow Ken was allowed to keep a few employees and founded his own little fiefdom/studio, all thanks to the work of other people he took credit for.

With BioShock, it was the rest of the team who elevated the weak writing, similar to SS2, with Infinite, it was Rod Fergusson who salvaged the project from multiple scrapped vertical slices in under a year while Ken Levine was fucking around for 5 years, yet Kenny still got all the credit for it!

Every next project Levine lead was worse than the previous and miraculously succeeded despite his involvement, not thanks to it. Every success he has under his belt was because he was bailed out by more competent people, yet the industry keeps giving him new chances and he keeps shitting the bed.

Ken Levine is such a fascinating guy. He did the best work of his life while working under much more talented developers that played to his strengths and hid his flaws, yet when he was given multiple opportunities to lead a game on his own, it turned out that he learned nothing from his past work.

This is a rather incredible window into a reactionary mindset, because Daniel Vávra seems like he genuinely wanted to tell a story that included a gay romance subplot in spite of pushback, but refuses to extend that understanding to other writers and developers who also want to tell their stories...
