Comparisons to 2014 aren't great for around here, that was a winter without much snow at all.

A thick, dark cloud with a white, fat funnel shape reaching the ground (a dark, low ridge). In the foreground is golden grass.
Drove during a tornado warning, and I think this cloud was looking pretty tornado-y. (Feel free to zoom in on it.)
I hadn't realized while driving that the funnel shape touched that ridge. 😲
(Just north of Fresno.)
Very cool, wonder if there are any other pictures people got?
Looks like it's in the right area

If this isn't your baseline state of existence you've got no business being in the admin that's going to be inaugurated at 1200 20 Jan 29
I appreciate explicitly naming targets.
Anyway, what a whirlwind trip. I know that things have been so difficult and traumatic and the future is uncertain, but it felt nice to do something good for someone and to see a family reunited after so much suffering. On the drive home, he said he’d gotten taken in winter and now it was summer.
National shame for whatever my opinion counts for.
Worth reading, makes me think about our fire history around North bend and the Snoqualmie River basin.
I saw traffic study cameras up along Montlake and 24th, maybe for looking into making a designated bus lane? I thought I heard something about that.

Bus goes in, bus (and tacos) goes out.
At least the shelters keep you dry while waiting for a bus! Oh. Wait. Nevermind.
They wouldn't have survived Cambodia.
It’s 4/20 and I’m getting excited for a big win tomorrow!

If you've checked a bag typically they're on the outside so you don't have unlimited time. A reasonably long layover with a book can be nice if you're there in normal business hours. Too early or too late can get close to limbo.
But yes, shallower and smaller stations seem like a good way to reduce cost. There are other systems in the world we can look to and learn from.
The volume of both UW stops and Ravenna bothers me everytime I'm in them. They're huge, and for what? It's hard to imagine we couldn't do better, even with deeper stations.
I thought the sledgehammer pictures I was seeing today were Wagner references and was concerned about seeing the inspiration. This is better at least.
Just build it with big enough sidewalks/bike lanes on both sides.
In 2029 I will bike across the country to stand in line to take the sledgehammer swing that I'm owed as a citizen.
You're right! They're in that train on the trail next to Google. Good call, it's probably one of the best options.
I was thinking of the old location just off the trail in the light industrial space.
they moved to the center of Kirkland in the development just East of the playfields.
I know someone who's commuted from there 4 days a week for at least 20 years.
Thanks! Sounds great for our needs.
A Jewish friend was working on a project in Graz or Salzburg years ago where he described a meeting with LOT of deliberation about the Final Solution for some problem or another. The accent made it worse.
