Yesterday we dropped a magical workshop inside Punchdrunk Enrichment with Yomi Sode exclusively for #BYOB Poetry crew in Wembley.
Facilitation space is such an overlooked pillar of informal education, this spot was gorgeous

Proud to finally share our big Youth Music report 'Industry Connect' on the state of Music Education. This is one of the most comprehensive pieces of research of recent years and offers a radical rethink. The feedback has been amazing. Have you read it yet?

I'm looking forward to sharing our Youth Music 'Industry Connect' report when its released on 9 December - the result of a major nationwide consultation about all of this...
We need change, and we need it urgently.
Meanwhile the music education sector has been squeezed for over a decade, and many are on their knees (if they're still alive)
Music labels make approx 63% of that $45.5 billion.
Only the biggest artists are benefitting from arena-level money
And yet...
192 festivals disappeared since 2019
16% of live music venues have closed in the past year
(Live Music Mapping Project)
Music industry is booming.
So why are the grassroots, and music education still struggling?
The music boom is real
The global value of music copyright (inc sales, licensing and streaming) was $45.5 billion last year. That's $20B more than 10 years ago, and $12B more than cinema box office revenue...

From the vaults. Since then Maverick Sabre has conquered music, Doc Brown made it to Hollywood and Ed... well, you know the rest.
#edsheeran #livemusic #mavericksabre
Nice to see Maverick Sabre in the #RoyalAlbertHall archive, talking about 14 years ago and many artists coming thru together. On one night alone Lyrix Organix had Ed Sheeran, Maverick Sabre and Doc Brown on one line up in a pub in Kensal Green (will post that video below)

βwe don't live an industrial age anymore, and yet the education system is built on it. It's nonsense... Knowledge is no longer valuable, it's practice that is neededββ
