Yee it's because of the wall. Unlike Wesker snug doesn't stop on collision. It's pure timer based for how long he dashes for.

Snug also grinds on collision, because theres the wall he just slides on it while moving forward. Gives some pretty crazy hits

Snug keeps going even when he's blocked. So even though he vaults, he still completes the path set.

When snug vaults he's only halfway through his distance (vault seemingly give free extra distance? Not 100% but feels that way) So after the vault snug continues in the path you commanded.
