I was doing pretty well with reducing my screentime towards the end of last year but then I got sick and the screentime crept up and up and up and unsurprisingly this has had a deleterious effect on my brain so I gotta reset a little bit

also I think it's very funny that at the start of the game I saw so many posts about "why are they playing the Canadian anthem in Buffalo, they're both American teams" :) we always play it :) because Canada is our friend :) we're good neighbors :) that's one of our things

But I keep a little notebook and pen in my purse still anyway, and I can open that quite silently, and my thought was: even if I literally can’t SEE what I’m writing and it’s illegible to me later (no idea how critics do it), I’ll still REMEMBER due to the physical act of writing

You see many times when I go to the movies, I get ideas! Ideas I want to remember! But I am loath to take my phone out to type it up, for obvious movie theater reasons, and I often forget these ideas OR spend the whole rest of the movie stressing about remembering them

So today I went to go see The Christophers (very good!) and also did an EXPERIMENT on myself a little bit

Board game day! We played Timeline, Torchlit, Furnace, High Society, Dune: Imperium, Suspicion, Root, Pandemic, Dominion, Dixit, and Gobblestones

Me: I’m not crazy about board games with auction mechanics or engine-builders
Also me: Furnace (has both) is pretty great though

(Possibly I should be more open-minded about it)
