We don’t actually feed her at the kitchen table, but that doesn’t stop her from checking every so often.

Two black cats, one shorthair, one longhair make a backwards S-shape on a shaggy cream carpet
Two hand hold open a fun-sized package of peanut m&ms, revealing that all of them are orange
If you see this, post something orange from your gallery.
Some of them induce a forced nap for me, which has upsides and downsides. I hate the brain fog—I’m sorry you’re dealing with that.
Opinion: Institutions are generally more adept at adding programs and initiatives than subtracting them. https://chroni.cl/4mBbBEt
If they’re ordered to pay damages, I hope they’ll also have to pay a 10% filing fee and a 2% paper fee and a 1% convenience charge
Okay, that’s a wrap. This is the best piece there is on AI. Gift link so I can share this gift of an opinion piece from Colson Whitehead.

This is a great tool.
For Minnesota, who is your guess which of our members of Congress have taken the most money from health insurers? 👀
Check it out!
The linked article is the best I’ve read on the “science of reading” and best literacy practices. Part of the challenge of teaching reading is that reading is a complex process and different students struggle with different parts of that process, so what works for most will not work for all.
Thank you for this, County Attorney John Choi!
There is commonplace book Reddit forum, if that’s helpful?
No, that part is to be expected.
The Minnesotan fight against our fascist federal government is so popular capitalism has commercialized it? This is surreal indeed
I couldn’t watch until I read they made it through re-entry and parachutes had deployed
Good news! 36A is Elliot Engen right now and he’s not running for it again. I think the endorsed Dem Jim DeMay has a great chance of flipping it.
There are two House seats neighboring mine that I think we should fight to flip: 36A (ha! Elliot Engen isn’t running again!) and 33A (Mahtomedi/Hugo/Forest Lake). LFG!
This passage highlights the way AI undermines the goal of the union: fair treatment of workers, including respect for their professional skills. That should mean fighting against outsourcing teacher work to a machine, which in this case, appears to mean teacher work shifts to programming the machine
Someone has never been loved enough to be handed a homemade sambusa, I guess
This post is a great reflection on writing—what it means, why we do it, and what makes it a human endeavor. This piece will get a prime spot on my composition syllabus!
I hate that. I’m sorry.
I feel like the whole “Using AI correctly takes special skills!” argument is just the arguer trying to justify that their use of AI is not because they’re lazy or empty-headed—they have SPECIAL skills unlike all you basic writer types
Just renewed my car license tabs, in case any state auditor candidates want me to walk them through that process
There’s so much invisible work like this! Not only does it show the work government does that may not be noticed, it helps people understand the complexity of issues that may seem simple on the surface.
Trans friends! I can’t wait to see you all tomorrow!
(Happy almost Trans Day of Visibility)
Thanks to a FOIA lawsuit from @deportationdata.org, Minnesota is getting its first credible numbers on arrests during the federal government's surge here this winter. About 3,800 Minnesota residents were arrested. Most from Latin America (only 106 from Somalia). (1)
Correction to your article: Elliot Engen does NOT represent White Bear Lake; he does represent half of White Bear Township.
I’m driving a 2009 Toyota Prius that has been a hell of a reliable workhorse. I just took it in for its regular oil change/tire rotation and asked the service manager if he thought I could get another 3 years out of it, and he said, without hesitating, “At least!”
Snow brushes stay in the car though!
