I’m a lapsed musical fan (i.e. I enjoyed them more when I was younger). But Chicago is one of my absolute favorites, the score/soundtrack and story are top-tier imho, and I will go see any theater production that comes to town.

#dinnertonight is homemade pizza! Four cheeses (Gouda, havarti, Parmesan, goat cheese), mushrooms, shallots, prosciutto & balsamic vinegar. Maaaaybe I added a bit too much cheese…but I doubt it, there’s no such thing as too much cheese.

More food stuff! #dinnertonight is an express version of Butter Chicken (because I cooked it on half an hour on my stovetop instead of several hours in the slow cooker or oven, and used some shortcut ingredients). Served with basmati rice, some naan and peas (because I like peas).

Last food post for the weekend: Sausage Rolls! Made these for breakfasts (rather than dinners, like the other stuff I made). Sausage is home-mixed ground pork, caramelized apple & onion, garlic, fennel seed and red chili flakes. Not a bad start to the day, I think. #suasagerollforbreakfast

Baby Beef Wellington! Made with beef filet wrapped in prosciutto, pastry, red wine duxelles (mushroom paste basically) & I added some Rogue Creamery smoky blue cheese (because why not). Served with a salad from a bag because my culinary patience does NOT extend to side salads.

I’m not familiar enough with the procedure to be sure but, his resignation from Congress DID specify he didn’t “plan” to swear in to the 119th session. Not sure how binding that phrasing is. He may have to re-run under the special election to fill his seat, if he wants to try to get it back.

Made an apple cider caramel last week, then made an apple cider caramel cake this weekend. Caramel sponge, spiced apple jam filling, mascarpone cream frosting and caramel drizzle. Also, since I’m not great at piping or decorative frosting, I made some roses out of apple slices to make it pretty
