To quote a MAGA relative, "I know he's terrible, but God can work through terrible people. Look at King David." I pointed out that the whole point is that David repented. That didn't go over well.

ICE is upset that ICE isn't welcome in restaurants after ICE ordered food at a restaurant, ate it, then arrested restaurant employees, and ICE believes this is someone else's fault, do I have that right?

“LET US OUT!”

women & children scream for help inside a detention camp in TEXAS, where private prisons like core civic make billions of taxpayer dollars holding them while abusing, neglecting them, refusing them health care, feeding them dirty food & water, etc.

‘All-out assault on our democracy:’ Bondi’s Minnesota blackmail letter draws righteous fury from state election leaders “This isn't leadership. This is blackmail," Arizona Secretary of State Adrian Fontes said. "This is the way organized crime works."

🚨BREAKING: State election leaders and voting rights advocates across the country are blasting U.S. Attorney General Pam Bondi for exploiting the killing of a U.S. citizen in Minneapolis by a federal immigration officer to “blackmail” Minnesota into handing over access to its unredacted voter rolls.

Today Republicans will publicly flood social media with sanctimonious tributes to our veterans while quietly dishonoring them through their inaction on ACA subsidies, which, if not renewed, will result in more than a quarter million veterans losing their healthcare. No surprise though… 1/2

I always get drawn back to Al Gore telling voters that he’d only raise taxes on the top 1% and then after the election a poll showed that something like 20% of voters thought they were in the top 1% and another 20% thought they would be in the next five years. Just a total tragic disconnect.

The "common good" is a set of shared values about what we owe one another as citizens who are bound together in the same society. A concern for the common good—keeping the common good in mind—is a moral attitude. It recognizes that we’re all in it together.
