It’s awesome when cheap markers work that well! Expensive tools don’t guarantee good results anyway — in the end it’s really all about the person using them ^^

I actually do a lot of marker work myself. Metallics especially nowadays are great! But for this one I wanted to try the full masking + reverse wash combo. The difference is pretty wild once the color separation is in. What markers do you usually use? :)

you got decent results, enamels are difficult to brush paint on large areas!

Looking good! Using several colors for a part is a great way to simulate complexity. Did you cut the masking tape on the model to get those lines?

It would depend on your project! The Gogg is great for scribing and adding details, lots of large areas and few details... it is a big canvas for gradation painting too! If you are going OOB, the Gusion would probably be a good choice :)

WIP parts of an HG Zeta Gundam backpack laid out on a gridded cutting mat. The pieces feature a custom paint job with a matte tan base and vibrant orange accents.

Still refining my masking, but I'm really pleased with how these custom colors on the HG Zeta backpack look. Nothing beats that clean peel! What do you think of this scheme?

This is excellent work. From the weathering on the model, the lighting, the environment and the low angle of the shot. You really get that blurring of scale!

Build that one, I have to say Bandai did good on this kit. The articulation is great, even given how bulky it is!

That is a great kit to get started in the hobby! Have you acquired some tools to get you started?

Clean work, it is not easy to make those small minus mark mold details in that scale!

They help but no a core tool imo. You might want to check rougher grit sand paper and metal files, they will speed up your sanding work quite a bit for a lot cheaper! :)
