Great to see this engagement with government…now we need to see that appreciation delivered with more than words.

Better working terms and conditions, please.

Great to speak at the London SAS Conference with Specialty, Associate Specialist and Specialist doctors from across London.

SAS doctors are the backbone of the NHS, delivering expert care every day, often without the recognition they deserve.

Thank you for all you do.

👀🚨Meanwhile, while Mandelson scandal is galloping along, I hear that Robert Jenrick and Suella Braverman ended up WITH LABOUR MPs in the AYE lobby on lifting two child benefit cap.

A source tells me they “got on their phones trying to get instructions from Farage as to whether they should be there or not”

“They tried to leave at one point but got trapped as the doors were locked”

Reform source confirms this happened & says it was a ‘genuine mistake’ & neither MP registered a vote. All other Reform MPs voted against….

The #Reform Party has less than 10 MPs, yet cannot co-ordinate how they should vote on a policy in Parliament. Can you trust a party who can't even manage or organise just a handful of people? Mind you, #ToryFailures Robert Jenrick and Suella Braverman aren't smart cookies, are they?

Correspondence with Noam Chomsky This is supporting material for the article See No Evil.

1. Noam Chomsky's response to the first tranche of Epstein docs - arrogant, high-handed, obfuscatory and, we now know, dishonest - reminded me of something: his response to my questions about genocide denial, 15 years ago. 🧵

It's rare to see how lobbyists operate. But the Epstein-Mandelson correspondence shows us what happens all the time: plutocrats and government ministers conspiring against the public interest. This is why all lobbying should be in the public domain, but despite Labour and Con promises, it's not. 🧵

Mad to me that Nigel Farage can say all of Zack Polanski’s supporters are “heroin smokers” but it is made illegal to say that racists vote Reform.

I think it is worth remembering that the Gaza Health Ministry’s number is based on those deaths they were able to confirm.

There are still those whose bodies have not been recovered.

The number of Palestinians killed is still not clear.

I cannot tell you how much doubt was consistently directed at the Gaza Health Ministry’s casualty numbers and how much pressure was put on news organizations to couch those numbers as unreliable.

Biden himself said they were fabricated!

Reform’s choice in Gorton and Denton tells you everything you need to know Goodwin is a dangerous extremist with views on race that the vast majority of us find absolutely abhorrent.

As an historian I often wonder how people learned nothing from the twentieth century and how we have fallen into the mess and rise of fascism yet again and here we are. People simply *don't care* that they are in a military alliance with and dependant on a fascist state when capitalism requires it.

We are delighted that @bashhuk.bsky.social have decided to support our #SASsix campaign!

A lot of sexual health care is delivered by SAS doctors. Signposting a career for these doctors to achieve their potential is a vital part of supporting this workforce.

We look forward to working with you!

This list includes multiple medical royal colleges, other membership organisations and associations, and organisations representing medical education, leadership and people specialists.

In recent months many new organisations have decided to support or endorse the #SASsix campaign.

Most recent was @bashhuk.bsky.social, who did so yesterday.

Like us, these organisations believe that supporting every doctor to achieve their potential is right for the workforce.

Could you be next?

I really do enjoy updating this slide.

Every new supporter gives me a little hope in the future. Nothing that the campaign stands for should be in any way controversial. Much of what it stands for is happening somewhere already, but rarely all in the same place at the same time.

Well done @rcoanews.bsky.social and @assocanaes.bsky.social for taking action and stepping away from activity on Twitter/X
It seems that every day reputable organisations are waking up to the fact that they do not need to remain there.

I like being an anaesthetist on days like this.

Both @assocanaes.bsky.social and @rcoanews.bsky.social are well established on a lot of platforms.

The more folks realise that as users, WE get to decide which platforms should succeed, the better.

I do enjoy writing rousing rhetoric.

"For too long, the conversation around medical leadership has suffered from a persistent blind spot."

"It's time to trade the shadows for the boardroom."

Brilliant to get support from @fmlm-uk.bsky.social for the #SASsix.
