Happy New Year! Joan Chitty’s just been round to wish us the same and she took the last Roses in the tub, which I’ve since found out was a ‘Signature Truffle’. I’m gutted as all that’s left now is a ‘Tangy Orange Crème’ which - despite being dented - is too exotic for early Jan, wouldn’t you say?

Happy Christmas, followers! No new radio broadcasts this Yuletide, sadly, as we were out of cotton buds to clean the tape heads (and I refuse to take Ken’s advice to use a soapy rag!). However, ‘The Shuttleworths’ is on Radio 4 Extra four times on Xmas Eve.. oof, check it out!
Oof! Only a week left to buy ‘Ken’s Khristmas Kracker!’ and other fabulous John Shuttleworth goodies in time for Christmas

Sorry I didn’t make it. Another time?
I’m in Lyme Regis and, sadly, it’s the final date of my ‘Raise the Oof’ tour. Meanwhile, wily old Ken is putting any leftover merchandise into his online shop. Check out the fab bargains NOW including ‘Ken’s Khristmas Kracker’! shuttleworths.co.uk/pages/shop.html

Off to see @johnshuttleworth.bsky.social the last great bard of the North with @georgefriend2.bsky.social
Yes, or tea cake or indeed barm!
My ‘Raise the Oof’ tour resumes in Barnsley (9th). A few tickets left at Worcester (19th), Isle of Wight (21st) and the final show in Lyme Regis (22nd) where Ken informs me the ‘Cob’ may be found. Aren’t regional differences funny? I’d call it a roll, although Mary favours ‘bap’.
I think he’d quite like to..
Oof, I wouldn’t normally wear a dressing gown like this..
He was fab, I loved he did his phone acting bit which was possibly the first thing I ever saw him do on Saturday Zoo in 1990. Lots of old faves, new songs and just peerless character work. Big up @johnshuttleworth.bsky.social
Oof, I actually said - Better to be early in this world than late in the next!
Oof not really!
Oof, you may survive, but life will be pretty grim! Why not purchase a replacement?? www.shuttleworths.co.uk/pages/shop.h...
Happy Birthday to the brilliant Graham Fellows, sometimes known as Jilted John and even @johnshuttleworth.bsky.social?
But known by all as a lovely man!
Have a great day, Mike & John xx

@johnshuttleworth.bsky.social Is the man behind Dana on the right Geoff Bentley? Ken did say he was at Dana's wedding.
@johnshuttleworth.bsky.social saw you at Oran Mor tonight! You were amazing! I did the 'give over!' to your 'a Skoda?'
Great stuff.
Glad your Y reg car made it all the way to #Edinburgh and surrounding villages last night @johnshuttleworth.bsky.social
A rather pleasant evening was had by all 👏
It was super fun, and I even got to meet a punk rocker - Wreckless Eric - who shocked me by having yoghurt and granola for breakfast!
My good friend (and fellow versatile singer/organist) Lorraine Bowen has been “unboxing” my package. Oof, why is it called that? The goods were posted in a Jiffy bag!

A review from Record Mirror, 5th December 1987 - John Shuttleworth as support to The Jack Rubies at The Marquee in London - described as JS’s first ever gig and the coming of “the new comic Messiah”.
Our Karen came home for the weekend and Mary made a delicious Shepherd’s Pie - so tasty that Karen’s cleared her plate. However, there ARE leftovers and Mary’s still warming up the crumble. Oof, see my dilemma, followers?
A captivating - and slightly scary - light show at Nottingham (and surrounding villages) last night!
Thank you Salford.. and surrounding villages! Oof, shouldn’t all those phones be switched off?
@johnshuttleworth.bsky.social A cautionary lament for all Shuttleworthians. On returning to the surrounding villages after a night in Guildford, we saw in our tote bag that our poster had suffered moisture ingress from the milk we had purchased at M&S to overcome the horrors of UHT at the B&B. Oof..
Great @johnshuttleworth.bsky.social show at Yvonne’s theatre. Superb lyrics, songs and natty footwork too.
@johnshuttleworth.bsky.social Fantastic night and superb to meet Graham. Wish I'd have shown you the leatherette elbow patches on my wide wale corduroy jacket as I'm sure John would've appreciated their practicality! Hope we see you again soon.
Oof, just over a week til my eagerly anticipated booking at Clapham Grand (Feb 26th at 7.30pm) I’ll be donating my petrol money to special guest, personality vocalist Mike Flowers who will be singing his big hit - Wonderwall - plus a haunting version of my own ‘From a Father to a Son’
@johnshuttleworth.bsky.social absolutely superb tonight, as always! Punch the air!
