it does remind me a little bit of how in the climate movement initial focus was always on the end consumer to change behaviour/ be better or morally good rather than systemic change.

this is definitely generalising parties, but i do feel strongly that it should be looked at more closely rather than only focusing on the voter

and perception of parties having to chase voters and hence it being ‘very reasonable’ for them to switch positions so flexibly as many do to accommodate changing moods and rather put the spotlight on parties’ fluidity to stay in power 😬😅

@quietriotpod.bsky.social Thanks for deepdiving into this on the pod! Should you ever do dedicate a full episode, a follow up question. Could switching the fixed point to voter opinions and away from parties or at least do sankeys for both. I wonder if that could change the overall communication

Not sure if it is a relevant to the UK party landscape though the current Greens/Labour/PC disputes would point that way as well

The thing that struck me is that all of the parties have shifted their positions over time and I wonder how much many people actually vote for the same values, yet now need to choose a different party to reflect that. So in a way it should be a party value shift analysis rather than a voter shift?

@quietriotpod.bsky.social Didn‘t expect to be cut off mid sentence 😅 I was curious about voter analysis. We (Germany) had multiple elections the past weeks and there was a lot of analysis how voters shifted from party A to B and so forth. /1

I only have second hand knowledge on this from friends. My understanding is that many faculties prefer the so called cumulative dissertation rather than a monograph because they get publications from candidates. I know that some don’t even give the choice to candidates to do a monograph.

Do you have a source for the full document? Would love to see if EU level goes down to country level

Yep. I sing a lot and there is a marked shift of people still using masks when they have a cold in rehearsal and additionally being told of if they don’t, when they have a cold.
This was never a thing in the before times, and I‘m very grateful it changed!

This is fascinating. You still need energy from renewables for it to make sense. Plus the cooling question someone else asked. Overall an interesting approach with potential on multiple fronts including decentralised infrastructure

As i kid i would only ever read my own books at the beach and never library books. By the end the binding would fall apart from all the sand that got stuck in between the pages
