There is no cancer in my family and many live into their 90s, including my mom & grandmother & all my aunts, who did not live in the town I grew up in.
My sister, my next door neighbor from childhood, all had cancer. Cancer took my neighbor's mom in her early 40s.

Of the 28 kids in my first grade class, every single one either has or had cancer, or has a sibling who has or had it, or one or both parents did. Many had more than 1 of these, some are dead. Several died of leukemia before 3rd grade. Many kids or their parents died of cancer by their 30s.
