Justice Department reaches police reform agreement with Louisville The plan comes more than 4 1/2 years after a Louisville police officer fatally shot Breonna Taylor, a Black woman, during a nighttime raid on her apartment.

The Justice Department announced an agreement with the city of Louisville on a federal oversight plan that will require the local police department to make sweeping changes aimed at curbing excessive force and racial discrimination.
