Four photo collage with top row photos showing an audience sitting around in tables and sofas around an office space listening to presentations and in the bottom row, two pictures of men presenting technical presentations.
What a lovely start to kick off our 10th anniversary fall season at Readit.ai. @haprog.bsky.social and @dev-matsuuu.bsky.social delivered wonderful talks and everyone was so excited to catch up after a long summer break.

Just throwing this into the void:
I'm going to end my 6-year-long entrepreneurship by the end of this year and looking for new opportunities starting Feb / March 2026.
Finland / Remote jobs, If it's around open source, that would be awesome!

I've spent *years* researching 3D Platformer Cameras in hopes of making Slime 64's camera "not terrible."
In this thread, the White Cylinder is the Camera Target (slightly above the player!), and the Orange Cones represent the "vertical dead zone" where the camera won't follow player movement.

I've become _that guy_.
I'm at home, listening to my niche electronic music vinyls, while setting up new @FrameworkPuter laptop. And what am I setting up? Arch of course.
I'm just a niche homebrewing hobby away from becoming unbearable.

Even the LLM knows the code it generated is unmaintainable and unbearable

Actually taking the time to create a coherent "style system" at the start of the project.
This means declaring colors for Primary, success, warning and errors and creating color ranges for these. Also defining color for text levels and separators.
Makes fighting the UI color demons a lot easier.

It's amazing how many developers just throw their hands up when their tooling breaks, instead of trying to understand why it broke, or even take a look behind the curtain to try and understand how to fix it

If hosting your own service for a "qr code to url to json data" -lookup is not approachable, I'd maybe fiddle abit with encoding it into base64 or similiar and seeing if the data can then fit onto a QR code

Latest addition was finally plugging in a form util package we use in plenty of our projects, which gives HTML forms some real superpowers.
Decided to build some state setup around it (akin of useForm) to handle declarative views and it just works so well.

The more I use my in-house library, Suunta to build web apps, the more It's building into this... "Framework" but in the sense of just being a collection of useful mini libraries with no tie-in or vendor lock.
Really enjoying it and excited on what it'll become.
