New #Vibroscape paper out!
My first paper as first author- What a (long) process this was, but I am very happy with the result!

What's new: Vibroscapes change not only in different habitats but even in microhabitats. Complexity going up!🌿

What if we combine insect substrate-borne vibrations with jazz? Well, have a listen! 🔊🥁
This album was made with the contributions of several biotremologists around the glove. Original insect signals also included!

Fresh out of the oven! First paper diving into automatic detection of vibrational signals in long vibroscape recordings—a big step toward analyzing vibroscapes worldwide 🍀

In our paper, “Is it Time for Ecotremology?” we argue that studying the #vibroscape can provide valuable insights into ecosystems, and is often overlooked. A short yet beautiful read for anyone interested in #Biotremology 🦗🌿

Thank you for making so fun for everyone to reconnect with nature!!
Ah such a small world! Glad you liked it! Krater insect signals are very unique as well, and some of them I never recorded anywhere else in 5 years of fieldwork, so it’s worth preserving! Maybe see you in some other cool events! (And give us a visit in Ljubljana 😄)
June 2021. Philaenus spumarius male calling signal 🔊 in a meadow in Ljubljana marsh, recorded from Galium mollugo
July 2022. Unidentified signal 🔊 in a meadow in Ljubljana marsh, recorded from Galium mollugo. It's an insect, not a frog, I promise!
August 2023. Unidentified signal 🔊 in a wet meadow in Gais, Switzerland. Recorded from grass.
Hello! I'm a Biotremologist with a passion for insect vibrational communication. I record meadow vibroscapes in Slovenia and around. Happy to talk bugs🔊🐜🍀
You can listen to some vibroscapes here: soundcloud.com/tremoneta

Bringing more #biotremology to this platform. What is biotremology, you ask? Well I'm glad you did! www.sciencedirect.com/science/arti...
