A tweet by Jess Owen which reads: Al didn't democratize art. Artists did. Free YouTube tutorials, sketch pages, advice blogs, works-in-progress, mentorship, AMAs, process videos. Sharing materials, stock references, resources, and technique. These are freely available to anyone who wants to learn.
This is very true. Everything you want to learn about any art or craft is freely available on YouTube. The problem is, you then have to do the work, which is the sticking point for many.
A dark skinned woman stands in front of a broken blue stained glass window. Sheβs crying but has a somewhat serene expression. The womanβs skin is crisscrossed by cracks repaired with gold. Sheβs surrounded by wilted flowers. In her hands are two lively swallows made of light. The light coming from the birds swirls around the image, giving life to the previously wilted flowers. On the back side of the book cover we see two more birds dancing around a broken vase, they too are reviving flowers with their light.
There's a figure standing upright, with its face covered by a thin, dark fabric dissolving into a swarm of insects. The figure wears a hat with a golden replica of one insect and holds a golden ceremonial knife it's using to slice its palm open, releasing yet more of these insects. The bugs are black and golden, winged and have large open jaws.
We're in a sunlit artificer laboratory. A young female gnome artificer is applying the finishing touches to her newest construct, a very large metal humanoid. She's sitting on its shoulder while a smaller flying automaton holds her tools.
A wood elf, male presenting character, holding a large sickle in one hand and unclipping a hunting net from his belt with the other. Wind moves his long hair and cloak. He is dressed in pelts and animal scales.

MtG Ravnica Clue Edition

This was a bit out of my comfort zone but had a blast painting it. I was able to use a palette with complementary colors, which I love.
I'm also very happy I could contribute to one of my favourite planes, Ravnica!

I'm going to go ahead and post this or else I'll just keep noodling the details forever and that's not getting me anywhere. XD The two main characters from a writing WIP I'm working on. Two sad dopes. π
I always enjoy it when others do it, because I am really curious how other work and develop their art.
I usually either forget to save steps, or my process is just so messy that there aren't any distinctive steps but rather a slide down. π

Little overhaul of the mascot and helping hand of a RPG discord.
