also there’s a fictional lore reason for why my vtuber has broken glasses, but the IRL inspiration is because every pair of glasses I own, this always happens on the same side

-Moved in/settled into my new place
-focusing a little more on health- more exercise, no food deliveries
-thanks to help of family I’m finally not sinking in a pit of debt (now I’m actually climbing upward!)

i technically don't have one but i'm pretty sure this game has my most hours in...
this was the most important game in my life career-wise, and even though I don't play anymore, I love the IP to death and will consume everything league but league itself

never delved into the farming / gathering sim games but decided I would get ACNH since I had massive FOMO during covid.

then i found out i can put resident evil in it and 1000+ hours of my life was stripped away

Resident Evil is my fave franchise
Street Fighter is one of my favorite fighters

-beating bizarro sephiroth as a kid, thinking i beat the game
-cuts to black for 10 secs. then i hear One Winged Angel start
-then the guy destroys an entire solar system for an attack
-then we have 1 final anime af fight in a void, ending in omnislash

26. Fave voice acting - Portal 2
I don't really pay as much attention as I should to voice acting, but I did really enjoy the work in Portal 2.
Ellen McLain has my favorite robo voice ever, and Stephen Merchant and J.K. Simmons had great performances

IIRC, a long time ago, Square Enix would have employees play through this game in order to learn more about good game design. I heard the remake was great too!

Yume Nikki
This game was far too directionless for me to appreciate it way back then, but I always loved the characters. And it inspired other faves of mine, LISA and Omori

As I've grown older and more exhausted with things, sometimes I just want to wander abstract worlds.

I will probably never play Marathon but everything about this game is beautiful

22. Game sequel that disappointed me - Telltale's The Walking Dead sequels
TWD was a messy ride with some huge low points after S1.
A lot of beloved characters deserved a lot better than what they got, including Clementine (esp. in S3). Still enjoyed the series overall tho

21. Fave story - Mouthwashing
Such a strong piece of media despite how short it is. I'm a huge fan of the writing of it, and I think it tackled certain topics in ways I haven't really seen in other games before. Very refreshing experience in the indie horror genre

20. Favorite genre - FIGHTING GAMES
Cheesily, FGs feel like a dance between two minds and I often feel like I understand the person behind the controller better after sparring them.
The community is also great and I don't think I would be here as an artist/vtuber had it not been for it.

Subspace Emissary was peak, especially because back then, there were still characters that hadn't been announced. You just had to play through the story mode and find out.

out of single player games though, maybe RE3 might be my most replayed! because it was short and i practiced speedrunning it

Undertale was a very formative experience that I'd rec to anyone. But it feels like Toby took everything he learned from UT and applied it to Deltarune. It's an improvement in many ways.

10. Neon White knows exactly what it wants to be and the gameplay is incredibly optimized for it. I'm a huge fan of a game I can replay and load up and immediately play. Leaderboards, quick levels, fast restart and load times, and feels great getting new PBs

9. Fictional media always makes me tear up LOL. But Telltale's The Walking Dead season 1, final chapter was probably the worst offender.

On the other side, Pascal's story in Nier Automata gave me the most despair and emptiness.
