Just wait until they send you the next step in their sequence on Christmas morning…
Very 80s morning so far. Started off watching original He-Man and Thundercats with the boys before school (currently being indoctrinated to 80s classics) and just took delivery of a Street Fighter II cartridge for my son’s Megadrive emulator (which is definitely a present for him…) #genx #80s
Nothing like listening to carols by the King’s College choir to get you in the spirit on a Monday morning
Just discovered my day list on Spotify. This is so on point and is now on at high volume in the kitchen #rave #jungle #90s #dnb
Last Kingdom is awesome
Slow Horses?
If games really influenced young people, munching pills in a dark room to repetitive electronic music would be a real thing.
That said, it’s not a silver bullet by any means. I’m having to learn the strategies for having a less stressful personal and work life that I think adhd didn’t let me develop until now. Hence why I’m having my first meeting with an adhd coach today
And zero efficiency in anything I did! While it was fucking annoying and stressful it did at least prove to me (and anyone who knows me!) what a difference medication makes.
Month three of taking adhd meds (Elvanse) and I hadn’t realised how much of a difference it made until I adhd’d booking my last private medication appointment and was without them for four days. The difference was staggering - total inability to regulate emotionally 🧵🪡
Also, it isn’t a miracle cure 😭 I am actually meeting an adhd coach this morning because I have found that my adhd didn’t really allow me to develop the same strategies as NT people to help me succeed in life (work not so much). BUT I can actually sit at my computer and get shit done now!
I’m on Elvanse (the same but in the uk) and it’s made a huge difference, partly with focus but actually more so with emotional regulation
Christmas sauerkraut anyone? Not sure how traditional it is but I had loads of cabbage from Oxford City Larder run by Sofea.uk.com to use up. It’s an amazing organisation helping to reduce the tonnes and tonnes of perfectly good food thrown away by supermarkets and shops #nowaste
Huge all day storm? Time to get the Christmas Day gravy made!
This was my first ever work computer. Classic! I thought it was so fucking modern and edgy 🤣
It was one of the best gigs. What a poet Dark Mark was
It was so amazing! What an awesome gig that was
What an amazing gig at the #roundhouse celebrating Mark Lanegan’s life and music. Dave Gahan, Josh Homme, Greg Dulli, Allison Mosshart, Ed Harcourt, Bobbie Gillespie and Chrissie Hind, backed by Soul Savers and Depeche Mode and The Bad Seeds backing singers all doing such an incredible job
I had no idea about the incredible history of the #O2 Academy in #Oxford. Previously The Zodiac and The Venue before that, #Radiohead, Ride and #Supergrass saved it from closing by investing in it in the 90s
Shed Seven live at the O2 Academy, Oxford
Shed Seven…what an amazing live band! Saw them last night at Oxford O2 and they were absolute quality. Place packed on a Monday, all of us singing our hearts out #shedseven #gigs #oxford
Bringing back this notable, topical moment from the early days of Twitter UK
Did you win?!
The Seven Fishes episode of The Bear is *far* too stressful for a Sunday night’s viewing
I'm auctioning one of my old guitars on Ebay this week with the proceeds going to The Blake Cottage Trust who are raising funds to repair the 17thC cottage in Sussex where William Blake lived when he wrote the lyric that became 'Jerusalem' www.blakecottage.org/home

One of the things I definitely do not miss from my hockey playing days. At least (I hope) you don’t play on grass or redgra any more
Almost immediately, and then wake up one day three months later and realised I haven’t used that thing for 2 months and 3 weeks…
