Great album form a great musician. It always strikes me as near miraculous that Konitz, Desmond and Pepper could forge such distinctive voices at a time when, stylistically, Charlie Parker had the pull of a black hole.
Coming this Saturday on Lion & Unicorn, I reappraise 'Black and Blue' by The Rolling Stones, which was released fifty years ago this month.
