Wow, that's unprofessional! And I'm so sorry for your loss!

(1/24) ๐งต Many people asked me for more information after my thread yesterday on the Tijuana River Valley health crisis. So here goes โ what our @airborne.ucsd.edu team has found, and why no one should be forced to breathe this toxic air for another day.
Oh... Dad was a mechanical engineer, granddad was an electrical engineer. I had bad educational experiences with math.
Pic of a MAGA hat with soldiers going in the front and coming out in caskets draped with the American flag. The back of the cap says Make Israel Great Again.
Wow. Powerful political cartoon by:
Carlos Latuff - Mondoweiss.
1/ If I hear one more public official call indoor air filters a "band-aid," I'm going to explode! Filtering indoor air should be as standard as filtering water. Full stop. ๐งต
Added to my library wishlist!
Done!
I'm just an internet stranger, but if I weren't thousands of miles away, I would absolutely come help. I'm sorry you're going through this without local support!
My mom stepped on a nail when she was 4 and got "blood poisoning" (sepsis). Luckily for her, it was the mid-1950s. A few years later, she had appendicitis. I would not exist without modern medicine and antibiotics.

Fantastic to see that wishlist is getting fulfilled!!
Unlikely Animals by Annie Hartnett and The Duchess War by Courtney Milan. Will be starting The Butcher's Masquerade by Matt Dinniman this afternoon.
Fantastic! Great news!
YMMV, but I became more generous with the holes after having a spud explode in my oven.
Exactly! My cousin married into a Chinese family, and they have two really cool kids. I worry for all of them.
Yeah, losing a fuzzy family member like this is devastating! It feels so unfair, so impossible... You have my deepest sympathy. Ten is way too young to have to let go.
I'm so, so sorry! It's so hard!!! A week ago we lost our Penguin cat. She fell sick on Friday and I let her go on Monday. She saw the vet on Saturday and Sunday. Pain meds gave us Sunday night, but I don't think it was the best thing for her. If I'd have known, I'd have let her go on Saturday.
abcnews.go.com/US/video/for... - Will has a small interview clip in this. Warning: There's a 30 second commercial in front of the segment, but please go watch. Please give them the clicks so this remains a top Google result for his name.
Yike! That is a horrifying statistic. Still at zero in our household, thanks to caution, privilege, and luck.
I thought I was handling it okay, but I'm not. My Penguin kitty's ashes and pawprints are ready to be picked up at the vet's. She only left us on Monday. How can an 8 pound kitty leave such a giant hole in the household?
crazy that the website that I randomly decided to put together at 10AM yesterday has had over 25k unique visitors in 24 hours.
please keep sharing with your networks.
Wrote about how disappointing it is that Jon Stewart punched down on people masking at @motherjones.com, when people should mind their own business and leave mask wearers be. www.motherjones.com/politics/202...
Yes!
And the promo still works! I just grabbed a copy!
This is my dream! I want to get rich enough to quit working and do weird stuff. I'd be even happier to get rich enough to spend half that time giving it away in ways that benefit lots of people.
It's refreshing to see some collaborative politics from people who want to make things better.
I hear you. I very briefly considered spreading out the vaccines a bit because it seemed like a lot of things to be vaccinating for at one point in time. My son ultimately received every vaccine at the recommended time.
Stunning!!
Zero, if we're not counting final illness/death of a family member. My professors were gracious and understanding during that awful time. There was one other missed class, but I was attending a UNESCO conference to fulfill an assignment for that class, so it was encouraged.
Yes!!! Plus repeated infections. COVID damages blood vessels, including the ones in the brain.
Yep. When Top Gun came out on VHS, it was 75. Don't judge me. I was horny and 17.
