About - Dogthr

Finally, this project first started when I was a PhD student over a decade ago and has morphed through various iterations, implementations, and institutions... I have always found it useful and hope others do as well. Check out the About page(www.dogthr.com/about/) for more history of the project.

There's no incentive to annual discount lock-in, it's $3 a month no matter what, cancel whenever you want. It costs money to run sites like this and if you think this is over/under priced let me know. The free account is very functional at just that level, so I think it's a good way to test it out.

Pricing - Dogthr

A word on pricing, a free account lets you create one group of up to 4 members or join one group. If one person pays for a subscription ($3 a month) they can have as many free accounts as they want join their group, all features are tied to the group admin. Your badges and avatars are displayed at the top of the group along with a chat feature at the bottom to help the group stay connected. The group owner can set alerts to let members know of planned check-in meetings or other pieces of information.

You get little badges for finishing your goals building a sense of continuity as you move from week to week... statistics at the end of the week show fun things like the most consistent member, the one who squeaked in under the wire, and those who went above and beyond.

Some people find sharing and tracking individual goals with friends motivating. I built Dogthr.com to do just that. Create a group with friends, set weekly goals and track progress. A goal is anything you can count... words, pomodoros, kilometers run, minutes meditated, the sky's the limit...
